Community Concert Offerings Music concerts presented by the Archipelago International Ensemble which is comprised of musicians from around the world. The group travels to local communities of all sizes, performing different styles of music from around the globe. We hope to provide audiences with a flavor of the heritage and culture from which the music originated, and how that style of music plays a role in the culture and lives of the people in that country.
Collage Concert
Archipelago's favorite concert to perform! A mix of music from all of the shows that keeps the ears anticipating what is next. A concert that has something for everyone.
Latin Fever
A concert program comprised of traditional Latin America music such as salsa, mambos, and mariachi. When possible, Archipelago will also bring in a dance troupe, who will teach some basic Latin dance instructions, so all that are interested may dance along to the music.
European Dance Night
A concert comprised of traditional German/Austrian music. The audience will enjoy polkas, waltzes and marches. When possible, Archipelago will also bring in a dance troupe, who will teach the basic dance steps of the polka and the waltz. Dancing is encouraged.
The Jazz Tradition
A concert that is dedicated to presenting America’s own great art music. The concert consists of the many different styles of Jazz as they have progressed through out the history of the art form. From New Orleans Jazz and trad Jazz from the early 1900’s, to the swing bands during world war world war 2 era, to bebop, fusion and even funk, this concert has something for every jazz aficionado. (Concert can be tailored to play one specific jazz genre if wanted.)
Broadway Meets Opera
A stirring concert of Broadway show tunes and opera classics.
A Night of Classics
A concert featuring great classical music of Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven, along with some original compositions of upcoming composers.
Movie Night
Come hear your favorite movie classics live while seeing a collage of the movie scenes on the big screen. You will also hear new original music put to silent movies bringing them to life.
